The short version

A summary to help you. The full text below is what applies.

  • No account to delete

Hisab Time has no accounts or logins today, so there is no profile of you on our servers.

  • Device data: delete it yourself

Delete records in the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Hisab Time.

  • Server records: just ask

Email us to delete the GSTIN look-up records linked to you. Done within 30 days.

  • Deleted automatically anyway

Look-up logs are deleted after 90 days, and cached results after 30 days.

1. There is no account to delete

Hisab Time does not have user accounts or logins today. We do not hold a profile, a password or a copy of your business data on our servers. Almost everything lives on your own device, which means you can delete it yourself, straight away.

2. Delete data on your device

Choose the option that suits you:

Option A

Delete records inside the app

Delete individual records, such as an invoice, a customer, a note or a purchase bill, from inside Hisab Time. They are removed from your device.

Option B

Clear the app’s storage

Removes everything Hisab Time has stored on this device, for every business, while keeping the app installed.

  2. Apps
  3. Hisab Time
  4. Storage
  5. Clear storage
Menu names vary a little between phone brands.
Option C

Uninstall Hisab Time

Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device.

Deleting on your device cannot be undone. If you might need your records later, for example for GST returns or audits, export a backup from inside the app first. Backup files you exported earlier are not deleted automatically, so delete them yourself wherever you saved them.

3. Delete records on our server

The only records we hold that can be linked to you come from GSTIN auto-fill: request logs (IP address, GSTIN, time and outcome) and cached registered details for the GSTINs you looked up. To have them deleted:

  1. Email support@hisabtime.com from your own email address, with the subject “Delete my data”.
  2. List the GSTIN(s) you looked up, and the approximate dates.
  3. We find and delete the matching records within 30 days, and confirm by email.

Because there are no accounts, we match records by GSTIN and date. We may ask a question or two to confirm that a request is genuine.

4. What is deleted automatically

Automatic deletion schedule for server records
RecordDeleted after
GSTIN request logs (IP address, GSTIN, time, outcome)90 days
Cached GSTIN details30 days

5. What we may keep, and why

We keep information only where the law requires it. For example, once paid plans launch, Indian tax and accounting laws require us to keep payment and invoice records for a fixed number of years. We also keep a short record of your deletion request, to show that we handled it. Anything we keep is used only for that purpose and deleted when it is no longer required.

6. When accounts launch

If we introduce Hisab Time accounts in the future, the app will include a Delete account option, and we will update this page to explain exactly what it deletes and how long it takes.
